Octagonlock Scaffolding 's Application

Octagonal plate scaffold is a type of buckle scaffold with octagonal connecting plates as its core. It has the characteristics of high stability and strong bearing capacity, and is widely used in engineering fields such as construction, bridges, and high formwork.

Core strengths

Strong torsional resistance of nodes: The octagonal disc forms two sets of triangular force systems through surface contact and pin insertion, with high torsional stiffness.  ‌

The transmission path is simple: the axis of the upright pole, horizontal pole, and diagonal pole converge at one point, resulting in a stable structure and high bearing capacity.  ‌

High safety: The self-locking pin design prevents slipping and reduces the risk of human operation.  ‌

Typical application scenarios

1.High formwork engineering

Case: Ericsson logistics warehouse (with a span of 20 meters and a floor height of 11 meters) adopts a beam slab support system to save materials and improve efficiency.  ‌

2.Complex structure construction

Case: Wuhu Railway Station in Anhui Province (with a cross-section of 2.2m × 2.4m for the underpass beam) meets the demand for large loads.  ‌

3.Large-span bridge

The multi-directional connection characteristics of octagonal discs are suitable for the support requirements of large-span structures such as bridges.  ‌

4.Comparison with circular scaffolding

Connection method: The octagonal disc is in surface contact, while the circular disc is mostly in point contact. The octagonal disc has better stability.  ‌

Applicable scenarios: Octagonal disks are more suitable for high load and complex structural engineering, while ringlock scaffolding  are more widely used
